Although Lucky Phoofolo (31) was severely ill, he had one desire on his heart – to attend our Gospel Crusade in Zamdela, Sasolburg, and to leave with a deeper revelation of who Jesus is, more equipped than ever to share the power of God with all he meets.
During the healing prayer, Lucky received the most wonderful testimony to proclaim! He had been affected by the flu bug for three weeks, leaving him powerless and weak. Now, he was healed! “I could not sleep at night,†he said. “I cried and sometimes vomited,†he continued. “I just felt the power of God on me, now, I am feeling better – more than better!†He exclaimed. “I will tell everyone about my God and what He has done!†Excited to make known that Jesus has healed him, he is ready to be His witness. “I am going to preach about this miracle. God is more than powerful!â€
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.†– 2 Corinthians 3 v 5
In this verse, Paul speaks concerning being a minister of the new covenant. Although not all believers are preachers, we are all witnesses by default. Are you a child of God? Then you are a witness! Many Christians shrink back from witnessing for a variety of reasons. They fear saying the wrong thing, they fear praying for the sick. Many evangelism courses do not help the situation. So often, these courses pivot around teaching believers a formula or training them how to argue their case. No wonder nerves win the day! Witnessing should come from the heart, not the head. The Holy Spirit is our guide, our helpmate, our co-witness. Allow Him to move through you. Speak and pray with all love and sincerity, He will get the job done! No amount of head knowledge will win a soul or heal a broken body. Our sufficiency for the task rests in Him, and in Him alone. He provides the words, He provides the power. We are the vessels. Our only responsibility is to be eagerly obedient, every moment of every day!
